Cindy is a multi-faceted Project Manager, Designer, and Administrator with over 30 years of combined project management experience in the public service and the private sector including as an interior design business owner. She continues to polish her key strengths of attention to detail and organizational skills and is currently working on completing her first novel.
Cindy’s career has been primarily in the construction and facilities management field and has managed several projects within the I.T. discipline as well. She began as an Interior Designer in Ontario and has worked on residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, educational, and real estate development projects. Cindy transitioned the skills attained in the private sector and implemented them when she began her career with the public service.
She is currently working on the further development of a relatively new Project Management Office with the Provincial Government of BC using Agile Fundamentals to produce new and fluid processes and systems for that PMO.
Cindy was an active member of the PMI-VI Chapter from 2009 to 2014 during which time she was involved in helping to facilitate the Chapter’s CEPS program as a content reviewer and instructor.
She held the Volunteers Director position for the PMI-VI Chapter from May 2012 until January 2014 and was re-elected to the PMI-VI Board in May 2017 as the Volunteers Director where she continued to engage with and provide opportunities for chapter members needing to obtain required PDUs.
In 1991, Cindy graduated from Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology with a Diploma of Applied Arts in Interior Design. Her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification was obtained in May of 2009 and in September 2010 Cindy received her certification in ITIL V3 Foundations.
