Linda holds a Technical Diploma in Fisheries and Aquaculture, Masters Certificate in Project Management (MCPM) and is a certified Project Manager (PMP) working in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors in Canada. Recent projects include: Business development for an international salmon farming company, enhancing biosecurity protocols for Government of Alberta hatcheries, regulatory affairs management for the BC Salmon Farmers Association; and outreach and communications for the Aboriginal Aquaculture Association of Canada.
She has over 20 years’ experience in freshwater and marine fish and shellfish research and culture from hatchery production to global marketing for such species as mussels, Coho, Atlantic salmon, and sablefish and has over 8 years’ experience teaching at Vancouver Island University Fisheries and Aquaculture Program. She has also organized over 40 conferences and scientific sessions related to the use and preservation of aquatic resources. She participates on joint industry-regulatory committees and volunteers her time for many projects.
