Enjoy a fantastic view of the beautiful Victoria Harbour while connecting with colleagues, new members and the Board of Directors. The PMI Vancouver Island Chapter wants to open de doors to all Project Managers in Victoria to show their work, and to enjoy a drink mingling with chapter members.

Speaker: Ivan Rincon B. Eng., MBA, PMP
Executive Director, Project Management, BC Provincial Government
Ivan Rincon, B. Eng., MBA, PMP is an experienced project and program manager with more than 25 years of experience. He has been a dedicated volunteer with PMI since 2007 both at the local and global level. He is alumni of the prestigious PMI Leadership Institute Master Class. Thanks to his engagement with this leadership program, he has been invited to speak about project management topics in many venues including Dominican Republic, Norway and most recently, Tanzania. Ivan was born in Colombia and came to Canada in 2004. He has worked in small and large organizations in areas like government, oceanographic and marine research, and emergency management. He is also an Advanced Communicator in Toastmasters.
In his most recent speaking engagement, Ivan was invited to Tanzania. In his interactions with local project managers and practitioners, he learned that although it is a global profession, the issues and challenges are different. He spoke about project culture, and little he knew the content of his presentation help him survive the visit to the birthplace of modern humans. Telling his own story about engaging with wonderful professionals, he will bring a global perspective to the challenges of being a project manager in our magnificent global village.

All participants hereby consent to the use of their likeness, including but not limited to photographs and videos, taken during the conference. Participants understand and agree that these photographs and videos may be used by the conference organizers for promotional and marketing purposes, including but not limited to website content, social media posts, brochures, and other promotional materials.
Participants further acknowledge that they will not receive any compensation or royalty for the use of their likenesses in the photographs and videos.
If participants wish to refrain from being photographed or filmed during the conference, it is their responsibility to inform the conference organizers in writing prior to the start of the conference. The conference organizers will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, but cannot guarantee that all photographs or videos will be excluded.
Participants release the conference organizers, volunteers, and any third parties acting under their authority, from any claims, damages, or liability arising out of or related to the use of their likeness in the photographs and videos.
