The Project Management Institute of Vancouver Island (PMI-VI) is a local, Island & Yukon based Chapter of the globally recognized Project Management Institute (PMI).


Our Chapter, founded in 1996, is the leading non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education, connection, and professionalism across the practice of Project Management & Leadership.



Our vision is to be the nexus for project management excellence on Vancouver Island & the Yukon, recognized for fostering continuous professional development and advancing the discipline of project management across workplace and community.



The Project Management Institute of Vancouver Island (PMI-VI) is committed to supporting:

  • the ongoing professional growth and success of our members;
  •  the learning & development of current & prospective project leaders across our community; and
  •  promoting the principles and best practices of project management.
