The PMI-VI Chapter has created a legacy Project Management Scholarship program with the purpose to encourage and strengthen the development of the Project Management profession in the local community. The scholarship is offered to students registered in Certificate-Level Project Management programs.

Currently, our Chapter issues four scholarships annually, one for the University of Victoria, one for the Royal Roads University, one for Vancouver Island University, and one for Camosun College

The Scholarship value is defined every year based on market conditions, programs offered, etc.

The requirements for programs to be eligible for the PMI-VI Scholarship are as follows:

  • The Educational Institution offering the program must be located on Vancouver Island
  • It must run a Graduate Level Certificate or above program in Project Management
  • The program must offer content aligned with PMI’s PMBOK®

Students from Vancouver Island shall be given priority to receive an award.

The PMI-VI Project Management Scholarship program was ratified by membership vote and is funded from internal Chapter funds.
