Call for Nominations — 2026/27 Board Cycle
The Call for Nominations for the 2026/27 Board Cycle will open in April 2027.
Roles are structured into two tiers to reflect the experience and chapter knowledge required for each level of leadership.
Board Structure & Recruitment Path
The PMIVI Board operates on a deliberate leadership progression model. Director-level roles are open to all eligible members and serve as the primary entry point into chapter leadership. Senior Officer roles — including Vice President positions and the President lifecycle — are recruited first from within the existing Director ranks, ensuring that those stepping into senior leadership have direct chapter experience.
This structure ensures continuity, operational effectiveness, and meaningful growth pathways for chapter volunteers.

Senior Officer Roles — Internal Recruitment First
The following Senior Officer roles require prior chapter experience and are recruited through an internal process:
- President (enters the three-year Presidential cycle: President-Elect → President → Past President)
- Treasurer
- Vice President, Operations
- Vice President, Internal Relations
- Vice President, External Relations
- Vice President, Professional Development
The Nominations Committee will first canvas current and recent Directors to gauge interest in these roles. Only in the absence of a qualified internal candidate will the Nominations Committee open a Senior Officer role to the general membership. This approach ensures that individuals stepping into senior leadership understand the chapter's operations, culture, and member commitments from direct experience.
Director Roles — Open to All Eligible Members
Director positions are the primary entry point into PMIVI Board leadership and are open to all eligible members. Directors gain hands-on experience in chapter governance, operations, and member engagement — building the foundation for future Senior Officer candidacy.
Active PMI membership is a prerequisite for all Director and volunteer positions. Membership must be current and in good standing at the time of application and maintained throughout the term of service. If you are not yet a PMI member, visit pmi.org to join before applying.
