PMBOK V.7 Introductory session with Ivan Rincon
PMBOK V.7 Introductory lunch & learn with Ivan Rincon
While we were away, PMI released the long-awaited version 7 of the PMBOK. It has been announced for release in the fall 2020 but the pandemic hit the timelines and it took one extra year to release.
PMI Vancouver Island is proud to have one of its members, Ivan Rincon PMP, PgMP as part of the review team that brought us this ground-breaking new standard.
Ivan will provide us, PMI VI Members, with an introductory session on October 13 at noon.
As a PMI member, you have free access to the PMBOK in electronic format and you also have access to the accompanying resource, PMIstandards+ ™
PMBOK V7 is a total departure from the process-based PMI best practices documented in Versions 1-6, focusing more on the concepts of “principles” and “domains”.
Also, this edition of the PMBOK® Guide:
- Reflects the full range of development approaches (predictive, traditional, adaptive, agile, hybrid, etc.)
- Provides an entire section devoted to tailoring the development approach and processes
- Expands the list of tools and techniques in a new section, “Models, Methods, and Artifacts”
- Focuses on project outcomes in addition to deliverables
- Integrates with PMIstandards+™ for access to content that helps the user apply the PMBOK® Guide on the job
Make sure you download your free copy and join us for the introductory session with Ivan!
