PMI-VI Study Group
The PMI Vancouver Island Chapter is pleased to announce the return of the PMP Study Group!
This Study Group is designed to support PMP candidates by providing a space to ask questions, discuss concepts, work through real PMP exam questions, and learn strategies to pass the exam on the first attempt. It’s one of our most popular offerings and an excellent way to strengthen your toolkit before writing the PMP exam. The format blends structured learning with open Q&A and live question review.
This is your opportunity to connect with a qualified PMP instructor, practice tackling challenging exam questions, and get real-time answers to your most pressing PMP-related questions.
What to Expect Each Week:
In each of session of this 5 week Study Group , you will:
- Receive a presentation on key PMP topics;
- Be able to ask a qualified PMP instructor ANY questions you have (PMP concepts, exam tips, career tips, you name it);
- Network, learn and discuss exam topics with Vancouver Island PMP Candidates;
- Review REAL PMP exam questions LIVE and get detailed breakdown of the logic.
This course is open to ANYONE looking to prepare for the PMP exam!
Course Format:
- All sessions will be delivered online via Teams
- 7pm-8pm PST
- April 7, 14, 21, 28 , May 5 (Please note, our website calendar only handles a certain number of dates and is missing the May 5th date)
- Please ensure you restart and aim to join a little early to ensure your set up works
- Sessions will not be recorded

Topics to be presented will algin to the PMBOK and will broadly be on:
- Exam Strategies
- The Business Environment
- Starting a Project
- Planning a Project
- Monitoring and Controlling the Project
- Leading Project Teams
Pre-Requisites:
- All attendees need to have access to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) 7 or 8, and the Agile Practice Guide.
- All attendees need access to a computer with camera/microphone
- Be committed to writing the PMP exam, and committed to attending this study group.
-NOTE-
- The PMP exam format will be revised on July 8, 2026. Those studying on the PMBOK 7 are encouraged to write prior to this date.
- This is NOT a PMP exam prep course, and will not earn PDU’s or requisite training for the PMP
